Industrial Safety Products

Industrial safety products include many different items: clothing, lenses that absorb UVA and UVB radiation, traffic control signs, first aid and medical kits, and biological protection against biological agents like anthrax. The clothing would include heavy shirts, heavy pants, thick, steel-toed boots, gloves, hats, helmets, and even masks. The clothe should not be baggy enough to get caught in any machinery, though, and cuffs should be tucked into gloves or tight enough that they can’t get caught by machinery. Boots should have heavy souls with good traction to minimize the chances of slipping on anything slick on the floor. Eye gear should be worn at all times to protect against flying debris in the industrial area.

Industrial safety products also include first aid and medical kits. The first aid and medical kits should be comprehensive in preparation for all sorts of accidents and emergencies. This means things like CPR units, first aid stations, hand and skin treatments, and eye wash stations. All first aid and medication kits and stations should be easily accessible for every employee and every visitor to the area, and there should not be anything impeding access to these items. It could be against the law to have these industrial safety products in an inaccessible or difficult area to reach.

Traffic, both car traffic and foot traffic signs, can also help minimize the danger in an industrial area. These signs can indicate dangerous area, slick areas, possible spills, trucks entering or exiting the area suddenly. They can also include mirrors, flares, cones, and other items to keep an area clear.
